As Easter arrives, it feels like a good moment to pause and reflect on just how far we’ve come at the Rathkeale & District Community Men’s Shed.
Since the beginning of the year, we’ve made great progress. From laying a brand new floor, to putting up doors and creating new rooms, right through to giving the outside of the Shed a fresh coat of paint. All completed through shared effort, good humour, and teamwork.
It’s not just the building that’s taking shape, but the sense of community and purpose within the Shed. Week by week, we’re building something stronger. A place where men can come together, feel welcome, and enjoy working on something meaningful.
As we head into spring, we’ve more to look forward to. The shed space continues to improve, more projects are in the pipeline, and there’ll be plenty of chances to get involved. Whether that’s with a paintbrush, a hammer, or simply a cuppa and a chat.
We’ll be back as usual next Thursday at 10:30 am, and the door is always open to new members who’d like to see what the Shed is all about.
