This past Thursday, our members had the pleasure of accepting a kind invitation from Killarney Mens Shed to visit their facilities. With the sun shining and spirits high, we set off for what turned out to be a truly memorable day out.
Upon arrival, we received the warmest of welcomes from the Killarney Shed members, who took the time to show us around their impressive workshop and facilities. It was truly inspiring to see how far their Shed has come, from the well-equipped workspace to the variety of projects they have ongoing. Their dedication, camaraderie, and sense of community were evident in every corner.
Throughout the day, we shared stories, exchanged ideas, and learned a lot about how they operate. From woodworking and crafts to community outreach initiatives, it was great to see the different ways they engage their members and contribute to the wider community. It gave us plenty of ideas and aspirations for the future of Rathkeale & District Men’s Shed.
Of course, no visit would be complete without a bit of craic and laughter, and there was plenty of that! The hospitality shown by the Killarney Shed was second to none, and we cannot thank them enough for their generosity and kindness. A special thank you to everyone who made the visit such an enjoyable experience—we truly appreciate it.
We are already looking forward to welcoming Killarney Men’s Shed for a return visit in the near future!
