On 21st September 2025, the Rathkeale and District Community Men’s Shed proudly opened its doors for its official grand opening – a milestone moment for the Shed and for the wider Rathkeale community.
The day brought together members, supporters, local representatives, and friends of the Shed to celebrate what has been built through teamwork, dedication, and community spirit. There was a real sense of pride in the room as attendees saw first-hand the space that has quickly become a welcoming hub for connection, creativity, and support.
The grand opening marked more than just the launch of a building. It celebrated the strengthening of friendships, the sharing of skills, and the positive impact the Shed continues to have on mental health and wellbeing in Rathkeale and the surrounding areas.
Since opening, the Shed has continued to grow, offering a place where members can meet regularly, work on projects, have a chat, and support one another in a relaxed and friendly environment.
