We’re proud to share some fantastic news from the Rathkeale & District Community Mens Shed, a number of our members have successfully completed their gardening course and have been awarded official Gardening Certificates!
This marks a great achievement for the Shed, as members took part in a hands-on course that covered everything from soil preparation and planting to garden maintenance and seasonal growing tips. Over the weeks, the group developed valuable skills, shared knowledge, and most importantly, had a great time learning together.
Sowing the Seeds of Community and Confidence
The course wasn’t just about learning how to grow vegetables and flowers – it was about growing confidence, building friendships, and discovering new interests. For many members, it was their first time engaging in structured gardening, and the sense of accomplishment in receiving their certificates was clear to see.
The skills learned during the course will now be put to great use in our own Men’s Shed garden, which we’re continuing to develop into a welcoming green space for all to enjoy.
